SALMAN'S MOST AWAITED MOVIE - VEER

Salman Khan must be very happy as his dream Project Veer is on the verge of completion. Veer is an epic romantic movie set in 1875 and is going to release on 22, January, 2010. It is being called as the actors "dream film".

Salman Khan wrote on his blog  "I have lived with Veer for 20 years. It can be called my most awaited film till date. I had writted the story of my dream project when I was shooting for the film, Baaghi in 1990."

Salman was  inspired by Taras Bulba, and has added other elements of war and father-son relationship to create Veer. A lot of hype has been created before its release.

Actually, the movie tells the story about the bravery and courage of Indians trying to fight for freedom. In this movie Salman is playing the role of an Indian Gladiator performing a lot of fighting scenes. It is understood after seeing the trailors that Salman has been working extra hard to tone his body for the role.
The movie has been directed by Anil Sharma of Gadar fame and produced by Vijay Gilani.

There are other many stars in the movie such as Zarine Khan, a newcomer who will play Salman's leading lady, Mithun Chakraborty, Jackie Shroff, Sohail Khan, Bharat Dabolka and Lisa Lazurus (Miss UK).
Hollywood action hero Jean Claun Van Damme's daughter, Bianca Van Damme will also be featured in Salman's dream project VEER.

KURBAAN - Movie Review

Kurbaan is based on the same plot of 9/11 which has already shown in the movies like New York and Fanaa.
Kurbaan starts as a love story which swiftly changes its identity to a social film but it appreciably manage the viewers engaged throughout with its thriller treatment. Sensibly the romance is kept short to represent the main motive of the movies and that is Global Terrorism. Once the terrorist activity comes to forefront, the love story is fittingly given a backseat as the story intends to highlight and discuss serious issues related to terrorism. And while dealing with dignified social concerns, Kurbaan doesn't compromise on entertainment by adapting a thrilling story telling technique.
Avantika(Kareena Kapoor) teaches at the university in India and falls in love with Ehsaan Khan( Saif Ali Khan). Finally they marries and shifts to New York City. There Avantika witness some terrorist operations in her neighbourhood headed by a Muslim fundamentalist(Om Puri). She realizes that Ehsaan has used her for huge conspiracy. She secretly seeks help from a television reporter Riyaaz(Vivek Oberoi) who wants to take the revenge of his wife's death, who died in an Aeroplane Bomb Blast by infiltrating the terrorist outfit to foil theri big plan.

 Saif Ali Khan has done a wonderful job and oozes confidence in his act.He once again proves that he is indeed a versatile actor in bollywood. 

 

After long time Kareena Kapoor gets a role which has given her a chance to prove her potential. The chemistry between Kareena and Saif is sizzling.

Vivek Oberoi is fabulous in his part and commands immense screen presence. He adopted the requisite English ascent though he could have gone easy on his expressions at times.He has acted brilliantly in the film and this movie could prove to be the turning point in his career.

Om Puri is as good at his job as always. He is authoritative though his character is just an extension of what he played in Shoot on sight. 

Kirron Kher plays the role of an Afghani woman with a Pathani accent, she is competent though it is difficult to relate her in such characters which is much different from her typecast image. 

Kurbaan is a must watch movie. 

SHILPA SHETTY WEDS RAJ KUNDRA!!

Shilpa Shetty finally tied the know with her beau, British Industrialist Raj Kundra. On the wedding day Raj was dressed in a gold and scarlet sherwani, designed by Shantanu and Nikhil, rode through the streets in a horse drawn chariot to the Bawa Villa in Khandala where his bride waited for him eagerly. Shilpa wore a luscious gold, crimson and burgandy saree, designed by Tarun Tahiliani, for the Mangalorean ceremony. A family member said "She was surrounded by her closest friends and family and the wedding was conducted in traditional south Indian rituals".
Shilpa's friend Kiran Bawa said "Everything went very well. All parents want their children to get married happily and that goes the same for Shilpas's parents as well. They are very happy. Raj and Shilpa both were very nervous before the marriage but now they are happy too."
The Bride- Shilpa Shetty was very excited and happy, she said "This is my dream wedding. We plan to shuttle between Mumbai and London after marriage. I shall strive to as successful at home as I am outside. I want to excel as a homemaker." 

Ranbir's upcoming movie - Rocket Singh.

Ranbir Kapoor is on a hat-trick with his upcoming movie - Rocket Singh-Salesman of the Year will release in theateres on December 11th. It is a good news for Ranbir that his fan following has been increasing day by day after his two splash hits, Wake up Sid and Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani.

Not much has been revealed about this Yash Raj film directed by Shimit Amin. To find out what more is in store for us we all have to wait and watch.

Barbie Katrina is going to hit the stores in December.

Katrina is getting more and more excited as the time is passsing, as the long awaited Katrina Barbie will be ready next month. The other reason for her excitement is that it would be the first Barbie which is based upon a Bollywood personality. She said "I was flattered when I heard this news. I think this is the bes way to get connected to the fans and kids." The awaited Barbie doll is a commemorative product to celebrate Barbie's 50th year.
It appears that with the arrival of the Barbie doll, Katrina is focussing on the younger end of her fan base. She has also agreed to record an album of nursery rhymes in Hindi for A R Rahman. With Rahman's composition, the simple chants she is expecting to perform could turn into something special.Katrina said "Though I like taking up challenging jobs, this is assignment is a bit difficult for me as I have never sung in Hindi before.Singing in English would have been a bit easier, but I don't let problems bother me."

Katrina Kaif is looking at a hat trick with her forthcoming movie " De Dana Dan" arriving after the success of the crazies love story- Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and New York which was a good box office hit. With these movies she has consolidated her top position. 
With more than half a dozen other hits behind in recent times, one wonders if she has actually stopped counting her hits??
Katrina says " Really, I dont see things like that. I take each movie at its own pace and don't quite start looking at the work I have done in the past and go gaga about it. It's like a new journey every time and hence has never got that feeling that 'Oh, since I now have so many successful films under my name, let me take it easy'. Yes, the way success helps you in reinstate the faith and belief that you have in yourself and push yourself to work harder. This is something that I am following".
Katrina's journey in bollywod is pretty dreamy and magical as she wasn't quite taken seriously when she began her Bollywood career with Boom (2003), which was a big Flop of box office.

Shahrukh Khan will take The Zoya Factor to the Big Screen

The Production company,Red Chillies owned by SRK has bought the filming rights to The Zoya Factor, which is a novel written by Anuja Chauhan. Vishal Punjabi will be the director of this forthcoming movie and the movie is being developed by Reema Kagti. Vishal has been working with Red Chillies for the last few years and was the visaul effects producer for Paheli.
The movie  "The Zoya factor" would be quite interesting as it is based on a novel in which a girl Zoya Solanki who was born at exactly the same time when India won the World Cup in 1983. It is soon realised that whenever she watches a match, India wins and when she doesn't then it'll result in defeat for India. As she is the lucky charm so she is invited to accompany team India in the ICC World Cup in Australia and it would be amazing to know that will India won that World cup or not??

Depressed Deepika want to take a break!

These days Deepika Padukone is quite depressed due to break-up with Ranbir Kapoor. She is planning a vacation in America to take her depression off. She said "my brother is getting married and it is the first big wedding in the family and I am looking forward to it. I believe it is very important to make time for family, no matter how hectic one's life is".
It is true that Deepika's life is hectic these days. Recently she has been working on Kartik Calling Kartik and Houseful. Luckily she has also signed up a movie with Imran Khan and the shooting will start early next year as said by the producer Kunal Kohli.
